"Spread the Love" with Church Women United
The Seguin/Guadalupe County Unit of Church Women United will participate in "Spread the Love" that is taking place throughout the USA Thursday, Feb. 14 by making donations of school supplies to Patlan Elementary in Seguin and Krueger Elementary in Marion. Sweet Home Cemetery Meeting

Texas Concert Opera Collective Performance
The Texas Concert Opera Collective will perform "Werther" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. There will also be an opportunity to spend “An Evening in Paris” featuring a 3-course French dinner with wine. The dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. complete with reserved front-of-the-house seating. Individual tickets for dinner and the opera are $80, couples are $150, and groups may purchase a table for 10 for $600. General admission opera tickets are $20 per person for either performance and includes a "Divas and Desserts" reception with champagne toast.

Family & Friends Day
The Sweet Home Baptist Church will celebrate Family & Friends Day at 3:30 pm. Sunday, Feb. 17. The guests will be Rev. Andrew Wilson and the Shiloh Baptist Church of San Antonio.
The Bluecreek Bluegrass Gospel Band and the McQueeney Baptist Church Bluegrass/Choir Band will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at the First Baptist Church La Vernia located at 201 S. Crews St. in La Vernia. Dessert and fellowship will follow the concert.
Whole Food Plant Based Potluck
There will be a Whole Food Plant Based potluck from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 in Heirholzer Hall of the First United Methodist Church. The program will be on the prevention and reversal of heart disease. If you would like to bring a dish to share, remember no animal products.
