TLUís Andrade named SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran's Sebastian Andrade, a freshman guard from El Paso, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, Feb. 11.

Andrade scored 10 points in 24 seconds - including the game-tying bucket - during the final minute of the Bulldogs' comeback win Friday night against Centenary College.

Andrade scored a career-high 26 in the key conference victory, a win that kept TLU alive in the race for an SCAC tournament bid. Andrade followed up Friday's performance by scoring 17 points in a 10-point win over Austin.

Andrade shot 51.7 percent from the field for both games, and he hit 45.5 percent of his three-pointers. Andrade also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals.
