(Seguin) -- Two people are dead following a head on crash Thursday in eastern Guadalupe County. Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers say the drivers of both vehicles were killed in the accident at around 1 p.m. Thursday in the 9500 block of U.S. Highway 90-A near Dowdy Road. The drivers were the only ones in their respective vehicles at the time of the crash.

Sgt. Deon Cockrell says the man driving a Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling west when he reportedly swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a Chevrolet Equinox being driven by a woman heading east.

Neither of the victims' names have been released at this time, although officials say both were elderly and the lone passengers in their vehicles.
The investigation into the accident continues.
