(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees is expected to layout an even more defined calendar and process for selecting the district's new top administrator. Trustees are expected to engage in the details behind searching for a new superintendent of schools during tonight's special meeting.
The district earlier this month selected the Texas Association of School Boards, or TASB Executive Search Services as its superintendent search firm.
The board unanimously approved the selection. The 6-0 vote in support of TASB did not include Trustee Ishmael Flores, who was unable to attend the meeting due to family reasons.
The agenda reads "discussion with TASB consultant regarding superintendent search process and search schedule calendar." Tonight's agenda also allows for possible action on any proposed plan to move forward.
Any and all discussion or action is slated to be conducted in open session giving the public an opportunity to hear the specifics on where the district will continue from tonight.
The board is looking to replace former Seguin ISD Superintendent Stetson Roane, who recently signed a separation agreement after a sexual harassment complaint was filed against him, and after a vote to reinstate him several weeks ago failed by a 5-2 margin.
The special meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. today in the Seguin ISD Board Room located inside of Oak Park Mall.
