Veterans Art Exhibit
The Seguin Art League will have its free 2nd Annual Veterans Visual Art Exhibit from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14 at the VFW Post 8456 located at 6808 N. Hwy. 123 in Geronimo. The event will offer an opportunity to vote for your favorite exhibit which features the art of regional veterans. Free Spanish Language Club at the Library
The Seguin Public Library will have its Free Spanish Language Club at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 27. Spring Break Dance Fundraiser
The Navarro 4-H Club will have a Spring Break Dance Fundraiser from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at The Big Red Barn. Entry fee is $2 at the door. There will be snacks, drinks, and glow items sold at the event. The dance is for kindergarten to 12th grade and parents or guardians. third graders and younger will need an adult to accompany them at the dance. American GI Forum Scholarship
The American GI Forum Manual Castilla Chapter is offering two $500 one-year scholarships for two 2018 graduating seniors at Seguin High School. Items must be submitted to Tricia Mayo by Wednesday, March 14.

Silver Opry
The Silver Center will have its March Silver Opry showcasing Natalie Rose, Jimmie Bolado, and Gabe Galvan, and the Silver Opry Band Thursday March 15th. The doors open at 6 p.m. with $7 admission per person. A meal will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. for $7.

PFLAG Seguin
The PFLAG Seguin will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15 in the Community Room of Mosaic Church (d.b.a. "The Rock") located at 1201 W. Court St. in Seguin. A Matter of Balance Class
AACOG will present A Matter of Balance Class from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Friday at the Silver Center. The class is free and very beneficial for those needing to improve balance and prevent falls. Tri-County Antique Tractor Pull
The Big Red Barn will have a Tri-County Antique Tractor Pull beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for 12 and under. There will be a 42 Tournament with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The fee is $40 per team in advance or $50 at the door. Registration forms are available at texagedu.org. TLU VITA Tax Return Clinic TLU and the Business department will provide free tax return preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Clinics will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Saturday, April 14 at TLU's Beck Center, Lower Level - Room 5. Memorial Brick Sales
The Disabled American Veterans Chapter and Unit 61 are selling additional bricks in its Guadalupe County Veterans Memorial located at the northwest corner of the Guadalupe County Courthouse lawn. The Seguin Police Department is currently seeking applicants for its Citizens Police Academy that will be held Thursday, March 29 to Thursday, May 31. Nolte St. in Seguin. Participants should bring identification and all documents related to filing tax returns. Taxes can not be filed without proper documents.
