(Seguin) -- It looks as though the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday will be putting the district's facility needs into the hands of local voters. Following a year long investment by a facilities committee and several board workshops, trustees next week are expected to call for a school bond election to be held on Saturday, May 4. Last month, the district's facilities committee recommended six different projects for consideration.More

(Seguin) -- A playground is no longer just a set of swings and a slide. At least, not for the Seguin ISD.
Pete Silvius, the director of whole child initiatives for the Seguin ISD, is among those walking alongside the district as it prepares to order a multi-million bond election. Included in that list of proposed projects would be $1.8 million for outdoor ADA accessible playscapes at each elementary school. If approved, the playscapes would include all new play areas as well as shade canopies.

(Seguin) -- Discussion is officially underway about possibly adding two new items to the list of proposed bond projects for the Seguin ISD. The items being considered include the construction of a brand new baseball field at Seguin High School and the renovation of the school's existing softball field.More

No. 8 Marion boys pull away from No. 4 Randolph, eye shared district title
(Marion) - Marion earned its second straight double-digit win over a team ranked in the top five of the TABC state poll and grabbed a share of first place in District 26-3A Friday night with a 64-54 home triumph over No. 4 Universal-City Randolph.
