SHS 2018 Valedictorian, Salutatorian debunk myth of not being able to do it all

(Seguin) -- Seguin High School's Valedictorian has officially shattering all the myths about what students can or can't do while aggressively pursuing an associates degree while enrolled in the school's Early College High School program. Leading the Class of 2018 as this year’s Valedictorian is Kaylie Koenen, the daughter of Chuck and Carol Koenen. Koenen was among the 30 plus Seguin High School students this year to first graduate with an associates degree – a journey that began during the ninth grade. Koenen says she distinctly remembers the district's presentation for this opportunity to every incoming freshman.

Library to host Summer Reading Program launch party

(Seguin) -- Kids are invited to come out and "rock" out this summer at the Seguin Public Library. Children's Librarian Hannah Farmer says the library will be launching the 2018 “Libraries Rock” Summer Reading program this Saturday.

Former Matador, NFL player Lawrence Sampleton to host 2nd annual football camp Saturday

(Seguin) – Former NFL, University of Texas, and Seguin High School football player Lawrence Sampleton will conduct his second annual football camp in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Central Texas this Saturday at Matador Stadium on the SHS campus.

TLU to host basketball camps in June, July
