Seguin ISD school board meets again Thursday night, could add projects to $64.7 million bond proposal

(Seguin) -- Discussion is officially underway about possibly adding two new items to the list of proposed bond projects for the Seguin ISD. The items being considered include the construction of a brand new baseball field at Seguin High School and the renovation of the school's existing softball field.

Council approves pay raise, contract extension for city manager

(Seguin) -- Seguin City Manager Doug Faseler has once again earned the support of the Seguin City Council. The council on Tuesday conducted Faseler's annual evaluation. After meeting in closed session for the couple of hours, the council voted 6 to 2 to extend Faseler's contract for another year, and to offer him a 2.5 percent pay raise.

Seguin PD Officer saves a man's life at a local restaurant

(Seguin) -- A Seguin Police Officer is continuing to be recognized as a hero after springing into action at a local restaurant.
Cpl. John Crady with the Seguin Police Department is being applauded today for helping a man who was choking at the 1838 Grille on Friday afternoon.

Seguin celebrates new additions to Park West

(Seguin) -- Seguin's Park West initial phase is now 100 percent complete. The vision that got underway thanks to the city of Seguin's 2013 Bond Election has finally come full circle with the additions of a sidewalk project and pedestrian bridge.

Marion's Allen, Lebron, Wilson ink football commitments on National Signing Day
Marion High School seniors (seated, from left) Jackson Allen, Elijah Lebron, and Brevin Wilson finalized their commitments to play college football during a National Signing Day event in the MHS gymnasium Wednesday morning. Allen, an All-District tight end/ wide receiver, will play at NCAA Division II Texas A&M Commerce. Lebron, an All-District linebacker, will join NAIA Evangel University's program in Springfield, Mo. Wilson, an All-District H-back and defensive back, will head to Brownwood to become a Howard Payne (NCAA DIII) Yellowjacket. Allen, Lebron, and Wilson are pictured here with the Marion coaching staff.

Navarro's Tate to play football at Abilene Christian
Navarro High School senior Wyatt Tate signed a National Letter of Intent to join the football program at NCAA FCS Abiline Christian during National Signing Day festivities on Wednesday morning. Tate, a 6'8", 325 lb offensive lineman, earned All-State accolades as a junior and senior for the Panthers.

Navarro High School senior Ivy Kohl finalized her commitment to continue her cross country and track career at NCAA Division II Tarleton State University in Stephenville during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
