Early voting deadline arrives, polls open until 7 p.m. Friday

(Seguin) -- If you have not yet voted, then today is the last day to mark your ballot early and before the Nov. 6 General Election. Tuesday's Guadalupe County ballot includes a host of federal, state, county, city and school district elections.
At the end of Wednesday, a total of 33,034 votes had been cast at one of the six early voting locations throughout the county.

(Seguin) -- Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin is inviting you over for a pair of community celebrations all sparked by the holiday season and observance of Dia De Los Muertos. The first is the third annual Calaveras y Poesia. The Sunday afternoon event is being held in collaboration with the Center for Mexican-American Studies Department at Texas Lutheran University along with the United Way and Texas Commission on the Arts.

(Seguin) -- The taste of turkey and dressing will arrive a few weeks early thanks to the Seguin Mariachi Booster Club. The organization, which supports the Seguin ISD Mariachi program, will be hosting its second annual plate sale and silent auction in the Seguin High School Cafeteria.

(Seguin) - Texas Lutheran's Austin Mathews rushed for a school-record five touchdowns and added 225 rushing yards as the Bulldogs won their seventh game of 2018 with a 63-20 Senior Day victory over the Sul Ross State Lobos.

Navarro runners compete in state cross country meet

(Austin) - Navarro High School's Bryce Carter earned a top-ten finish in the UIL Class 4A State Cross Country Meet at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock on Saturday, finishing eighth in the boys 5K race with a time of 16:15.17.
