State District Judges request formation of new district court for Guadalupe County

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County is looking to plead its case for an additional District Court. The Guadalupe County Commissioners Court Tuesday afternoon met to discuss an apparent need for another new district court -- a court that, if approved, would be designated primarily to handle civil cases such as divorces, child custody and other types of non-criminal litigation.

SOLC celebrates its first ever Pumpkins on Pikes event

(Seguin) -- The spirit of the fall and Halloween seasons were made complete this year thanks to the illuminating results of this year's first ever Pumpkins on Pikes event hosted Sunday night at the Irma Lewis Seguin Outdoor Learning Center. Following an afternoon of hiking, haunted hayrides, S'mores and pumpkin carving, dozens and dozens of pumpkins were turned into center pieces for the large fields at the outdoor center.

(Seguin) -- Rain or shine, Seguin's largest and longest running Halloween tradition is ready to open its doors. Little pumpkins, ghosts and goblins are invited to spend their night of trick or treating at this year's annual Seguin Police Department DARE Halloween SAFE House.

Marion Education Foundation helps to support teachers, students in MISD

(Marion) -- While $100 might not be much for most of us, it apparently goes a long way in helping students be successful in the Marion ISD. The Marion Education Foundation recently awarded teachers district wide with 86 $100 mini grants.

(Austin) - The Seguin football program can claim at least a share of its first district championship since 2006 tonight with a 12-5A-Division I road win over Austin-Lanier at Nelson Stadium.
