Local father illustrates his love for his daughter

(Geronimo) -- A local father is not only telling his 9-year-old daughter that he loves her every day, he's illustrating it -- literally. For at least the last year and a half, school lunch has become somewhat like Christmas morning for Navarro Third Grader Leah Reyes.

You see, every time Leah unzips her lunch box, she is surprised with a piece of artwork on her napkin -- artwork designed and packed specifically for Leah by her father James Reyes. Whether it's Peanuts, Disney, or any other animation that one can imagine, it has probably appeared on a napkin.

(Guadalupe County) -- Guadalupe County has plenty to celebrate on this last day to register to vote. In preparing for the upcoming Nov. 6 General Election, Guadalupe County Elections Administrator Lisa Adam says the county has hit a milestone in the number of registered voters in Guadalupe County.

Homecoming week currently underway at Seguin High School

(Seguin) -- It's Homecoming Week at Seguin High School, and the community is encouraged to show off its Matador Spirit. It's a shortened week for students at SHS, because they are out of school on Thursday and Friday, but they still have a schedule packed with homecoming activities.

Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers to host statewide conference in Schertz

(Schertz) -- Law enforcement leaders from across the state of Texas will again find themselves in Guadalupe County for this year's 30th Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Annual Conference. The conference begins today and runs through Wednesday at the Schertz Civic Center.

TLU Cross Country squads 7th, 9th at UIW Invitational
(Live Oak) - Saturday at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational, Texas Lutheran Cross Country registered a seventh-place team finish in the women's race and a ninth-place finish in the men's race. Both races were held Saturday at Live Oak City Park in Live Oak, Texas.

Texas Lutheran survives another wild game at Louisiana College

TLU safety James Bell was named the American Southwestn Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after hauling in his ninth and 10th career interceptions and returning the first of those for a touchdown in Saturday's win over Louisiana College.  
 
(Pineville, La.) - Texas Lutheran's James Bell returned an interception for a touchdown and then preserved a victory in the closing seconds with his second interception of the night as TLU defeated Louisiana College 41-36 Saturday evening.
