Seguin ISD super gets contract, pay raises; School board meets again tonight to hear grievances

(Seguin) -- Seguin ISD's top administrator has received a vote of confidence from members of the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees. After meeting for just 25 minutes behind closed doors, trustees returned in open session to unanimously approve the one year contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Matthew Gutierrez. In addition, the board approved a two percent salary increase bumping his salary to $201,960.

(Seguin) -- Recent rains have helped to lift the outdoor burn ban in the unincorporated areas of Guadalupe County. The order was announced Tuesday following reports of three to four inches of precipitation in the area.

Council to revisit water tower issue

(Seguin) -- The Seguin City Council is set to reconsider whether or not the city will paint over the Seguin Matador logo on a water tower off of East Kingsbury Street and replace it with the city's "It's Real" logo and tagline.
