Drug bust on Interstate 10 lands two behind bars

(Guadalupe County) -- A traffic stop on Interstate 10 has led to the arrest of a pair of men for allegedly transporting drugs to Houston. Guadalupe County Sheriff's Deputies say on Wednesday, March 8, at approximately 2 p.m., K-9 Cpl. Dustin Crawford conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota Tundra. The vehicle was stopped for speeding.

(Castroville) - Whitney Wendel hit her fifth home run of the season and six Seguin players had at least two hits and two RBIs as the Matador softball team run-ruled Medina Valley 18-3 in three innings Tuesday afternoon in Castroville.

(Yoakum, Marion) - The early portion of spring break was less than festive for the Marion High School softball team, as the Bulldogs suffered consecutive District 27-3A losses, 3-2 in Yoakum on Monday and 9-1 to Hallettsville at home on Tuesday.

Navarro girls land eight on All-District hoops list

(Geronimo) - Navarro High School juniors Amber Reneau and Hailey Teasley received first-team selections on the 27-4A All-District basketball team to headline a list of eight Panthers who earned post-season recognition in a vote of the district's head coaches.
