"I was elected to the District 3 seat in May 2014 in a special election to serve the unexpired term of the late Irma Lewis. During my tenure with the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees, the district has made great strides in student performance. My goal if re-elected is to continue the forward progress of academic achievement. That is our paramount priority. We have improved in 45 of 47 index indicators and earned eight distinctions. More

(Guadalupe) -- How Guadalupe County goes about helping to solve crimes apparently warranted enough evidence for a statewide award. Recently, the Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers (GCCS) board members attended the statewide Crime Stoppers Conference in Conroe where they received the 2016 Creative Publicity Award for their creative promotion of the Henry Gutierrez homicide case.More

(Seguin) -- A 2016-2017 salary increase for all district employees tops tonight's agenda of the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees. According to the agenda, "teachers, librarians, nurses, diagnosticians, counselors and campus administration with a bachelor’s or advanced degrees will have a minimum of a 4 percent increase with an average of a 5.8 percent increase.More

With 3,550 yards in four seasons, Marquis Barrolle is now Texas Lutheran’s career rushing leader. Barrolle broke the record previously held for 42 years by Royce Johnson in Saturday’s loss to Southwestern.

(San Marcos) – Lifegate spread-back Cayden Pruet had a hand in 14 touchdowns Friday night – eight rushing and six passing – to help his Falcons establish a new single-game school scoring record in a 102-78 win over defending state champion San Marcos-Hill Country.

Lifegate volleyball claims district title with tiebreak sweep of Hill Country
(San Marcos) – The Lifegate Christian School volleyball team won the TAPPS District 7-1A championship Friday night with a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-22, 26-24) of San Marcos-Hill Country in a first-place tiebreak match on the Rams’ home court in San Marcos.
