“The short answer is that I love kids and feel I have the business and educational volunteer background to be an effective school board trustee. I managed a real estate sales office in Boerne for five years with millions of dollars in gross sales and I have volunteered in various capacities for over 10 years in Boerne ISD. This past winter and spring, I volunteered as a reading mentor at Vogel elementary school. I feel I can bring a healing element to the current environment of divisiveness. I am proud of the positive changes in the Seguin ISD (that) I have been part of since I was appointed to the school board in January 2016 to fill the late Mrs. Nancy Ayotte’s unexpired term. I would like to continue my work and to continue ‘building bridges’ in the community for the remaining two years of her unexpired term.”

“I have chosen to seek a seat on the school board to be a voice for the teachers, students, and citizens of Seguin. We have lived in Seguin since 1989. I have been involved in SISD for the past 19 years as a volunteer. Our two sons are graduates of SISD. Seguin and our schools are a part of who we are as a family. It is important to me that SISD excels in all aspects. We need trustees who will make fiscally responsible decisions and will be transparent with the community. The teachers and staff work hard and long hours to make a difference in our children’s lives. I want to be able to make sure that they are valued and listened to. I want to help implement policies that will assure that each and every student has their needs met. My vision for SISD is a school district that our community can be proud of. I want our district to be one that attracts the best and the brightest educators, and for there to be an environment where our teachers are encouraged to bring forth new ideas.”
